Lesson seven
To Copy and Paste an URL to your Notepad or to another Website.
Review
- We use "notepad"because it's simple, and inexpensive (=at everybody's
reach?)
- Opening tags and closing tags. Containers.
- Always "Save as" when that is the first time.
- When save, look at where you are saving it at.
- Type "file type" in the proper text box.
- You have to be online to have it work.
- The "title" tags is in between the "head" tags, and will not be displayed
in the document.
Tips
- There may be other tags in between the "head" tags, they may be displayed
in the document while the "title" tag would only be seen on top of the window
where the blue line is.
- Each tag may have different attributes. The "body tag" can have many
"attributes" for example "body+ bgcolor"
- a text box is a white rectangular box in which you type the address called
url.
Lesson on copy and paste

To copy-paste a labeled address from a text box to your
NotePad:
- Highlight the text in the text box or "click- and- drag" left to right
or right to left, or hold"Ctrl" and press "C" if you have a key board with
some darker touches. If you don't you have to press "Ctrl" and "C" at the
same time.
- Open NotePad, go to Edit and Click Paste or hold "Ctrl" and press
"V"(see above)
- If you don't use Ctrl +C and Crtl+ V: Chick Edit on the original page,
and choose Copy.
- Open NotePad, click Paste.
- Save

To copy-past a web page to Notepad
- Open Internet Explorer, highlight the text box, hit "delete" and type
www.gifart.com. You can also type on top of the highlighted line, because
the first letter you type will delete the url. Then hit "Enter" The Gift Art
page is opened.
- Type to add to the url above "htmldirectory.shtml. Hit "Enter"
- Save the page or print, by selecting/highlighting the part you like and
hit "Print". Choose "selection" and "ok". You can also print by page you
need by naming the # of the page.
- To copy paste see above.
- To go back to Home Page, click the button that says "Home" or "delete"
the part after ".com"
