Where Eyes Cannot See

by Stephanie LAM

Where eyes cannot see, I dwell

Where darkness is strongest, I roam

Where anger is power, I play

On the grassy meadow of broken dreams

I spend my time decayed

In the icy oceans of the North

I swim to my heart's content

Chains do bind me to society

Like a child under a whip, I cringe

But as a violent wave,

I rise above the ship

And crash into the harsh disciplinarian

I am truly of no use

Yet, I laugh a daring laugh

And sing a crudely obscene song

Weak men desire me,

I cause death and pain, but sadly I remain

I am nothing definite,

Just a feeling of disgust

My name is Hate.
